Another Landscape

Another Landscape is a collaborative AR activated sculpture inspired by the Claude glass. Viewers approach the two-sided mirror and may view a refection of their present surroundings or use a phone to make a video of another landscape appear on the surface of the mirror. The piece was created for a rural exhibition of sculptural works near Tama, Iowa. Each day of the show I asked an acquaintance (dispersed around the country) to record and send a video of a landscape in their direct vicinity. These landscapes were uploaded to the AR app daily such that a returning visitor would be transported to a new location every 24 hours.
